CARPENTER

The Division of Behavioral Health and Recovery is seeking a Carpenter to perform skilled carpentry work at the Chicago-Read Mental Health Center. The successful candidate will work in the carpenter shop, exercise safety precautions, and adhere to applicable standards.

Requirements

• High school degree equivalent to completion of four (4) years
• Completion of an approved apprenticeship program to qualify as a journey level carpenter
• Ability to climb ladders, stairs, and roofs
• Ability to utilize office equipment, including personal computers
• Pass a drug screen for drugs prohibited from recreational use under Illinois Law
• Pass an IDHS background check
