The Division of Behavioral Health and Recovery is seeking a Physician Specialist Option C for the Elgin Mental Health Center in Elgin, Illinois. The role involves serving as a medical specialist in psychiatry, conducting medical examinations, providing medical diagnosis, and making medical observations. The position requires a valid State of Illinois Physician and Surgeon License and completion of an approved residency in psychiatry. The ideal candidate will have experience in evaluating the quality of specialized medical care and treatment for patients with mental illness, coordinating medical services with other professional disciplines, and communicating effectively both orally and in writing.
Requirements
- Valid State of Illinois Physician and Surgeon License
- Completion of an approved residency in psychiatry
- One year of professional experience evaluating the quality of specialized medical care and treatment for patients with a mental illness
- One year of professional experience coordinating medical services with other professional disciplines and supportive personnel
- One year of professional experience conducting comprehensive psychiatric evaluations of patients
- One year of professional experience identifying most appropriate positive treatment option and carrying out that treatment in accordance with best practices
- One year of professional experience communicating effectively both orally and in writing
- One year of professional experience preparing comprehensive and specialized medical records and reports
