Job Description
The Maryland State Department of Education is seeking a Graphic Designer to join their Communications team. The ideal candidate will have five years of experience in administrative staff or professional work and proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator. The Graphic Designer will be responsible for developing compelling graphics and imagery concepts to support the department's initiatives, collaborating with other agency offices and divisions, and staying up-to-date with the latest design trends and emerging digital technologies.
Requirements
- Creates innovative design solutions for a variety of print and digital materials
- Utilizes design software such as Adobe Suite to create manuals, booklets, and visual graphics
- Ensures all design solutions align with brand guidelines, standards, and templates
- Collaborates with MSDE offices and divisions to develop promotional materials
- Transforms complex data and information into visually compelling and easy-to-understand infographics and data visualizations
