Social Service Technician

The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services has a career opportunity for a Social Service Technician to provide assistance to Child Protection Specialists in delivering family-centered services. Responsibilities include providing oral and written reports, scheduling appointments, and documenting parent/child interactions.

Requirements

• Knowledge of child development and parenting skills
• Ability to develop respectful working relationships with others and engage families and children
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• High school diploma or the equivalent
• Two years of social services work experience, or other directly related work experience, working with children and families in difficult situations
• Experience working with tribal government entities and/or other organizations of native peoples is highly preferred
