Grocery General Merchandise Clerk

The General Merchandise Clerk is accountable for delivering G.O.A.T. service to customers and supporting multiple areas of store operations. The role involves front-end responsibilities, stocking shelves, and assisting with e-commerce shopping orders. The position requires a versatile and adaptable individual who can take on a variety of tasks as needed throughout the store.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• High school diploma is preferred but not required
• A valid Food Handler / Health Card
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks and responsibilities
• Friendly, helpful attitude with a focus on customer satisfaction and service at all time
• Ability to work well within the team and follow direction with a good attitude
• Excellent communication skills (both oral and written) with the ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with customers and teammates
• Basic math and reading skills for handling pricing, labels, equipment, and inventory
• Good problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights
• Available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Must maintain a sense of integrity and adhere to all store policies and procedures, including safety standards and the collective bargaining agreement
