Job Description
Statkraft is seeking a Commercial Analyst – Renewables Forecasting to join their Cross Functional Optimisation (MEX) unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing metrics to measure renewables forecasting data quality, analysing and monitoring the performance of renewables forecasts, and supporting operational forecasting duties.
Requirements
- Excellent university degree in mathematics, physics, meteorology, engineering or business with strong quantitative focus
- Professional experience in timeseries and large dataset analysis
- Strong interest in short-term energy markets, renewable energy, algorithms and data science
- Strong analytical and investigative skills
- Commercial mind set
- Modelling and programming experience preferably in Python
- Proactive and independent way of working
- Excellent communication in English
