Database Engineer

Vulcan Steel Products is seeking a bright, future leader in technology to innovate and build upon existing technologies to tackle IT initiatives. This role will be an integral part of current and future objectives, planning and caring for existing tools, future custom tools, business systems, and infrastructure.

Requirements

• Maintain a safe work environment
• Respond to staff requests for support, followed up with diagnosing, troubleshooting, and solutions
• Collaborate with IT team members to ensure department success
• Assist in the design, deploy, and maintain data center, network, and end user infrastructure
• Work with end users, management, and clients to assess and execute the needs of the business
• Documenting solutions and tracking support requests using a helpdesk and project management tool
• Manage tool updates, mitigate vulnerabilities, apply patching, and work to ensure proper security measures are taken
• Developing technical documentation including requirements and user manuals where needed
• Manage workload and work cohesively to achieve the greater goal
