Mechanical Engineering Internship

Steel Dynamics offers a Mechanical Engineering Internship with hands-on industrial experience, office-based engineering work, and a unique opportunity to develop both engineering expertise and practical skills. Interns will support operations and projects, conduct experiments, and collaborate with engineers and operations staff. This internship is located at the Steel Dynamics Sinton Flat Roll Division in Sinton, TX, and will take place during Summer 2026.

Requirements

• Enrolled in a degree program in Mechanical Engineering
• GPA of 2.7 or higher preferred
• Strong mechanical aptitude with maintenance knowledge
• Comfortable performing hands-on work in an industrial environment
• Able to communicate and collaborate effectively with operators
