Senior Project Engineer / Project Manager (m/f/d)

We are looking for a Senior Project Engineer / Project Manager who combines deep technical troubleshooting expertise with the oversight of a project manager. This role involves leading project execution end-to-end and diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues while managing project timelines and stakeholder expectations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Power Systems, Automation, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in renewable energy project delivery, with direct involvement in utility-scale PV, BESS, or hybrid projects.
• Proven, hands-on troubleshooting expertise across SCADA, EMS, communication networks, telecontrol gateways, RTUs, and edge devices.
• Deep understanding of communication protocols (Modbus, IEC 61850, IEC 60870-5-104, DNP3) and the ability to diagnose protocol-level issues in real project environments.
• Solid understanding of industrial OT network design and ability to secure EMS or SCADA communication infrastructure.
• Expert-level knowledge of power plant control, grid integration, and grid code compliance across multiple European markets and at least one non-European jurisdiction.
• Experience managing full project lifecycles including detailed engineering, system configuration, commissioning, and customer coordination.
• Comfortable working in multi-stakeholder environments with customers, EPCs, grid operators, and internal cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or equivalent tools for communication and electrical design documentation.
• Strong project management skills — able to manage timelines, priorities, risks, and resources across multiple concurrent projects.
