Job Description
The Summer Camp Swimming Specialist is responsible for providing swimming lessons to campers aged 3-13, fostering a positive and motivating environment, and promoting water safety.
Requirements
- Lifeguard certification (preferred)
- CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to complete before camp begins)
- Minimum 1 year as a swim instructor or 3 years total teaching experience
- Strong knowledge of swimming techniques, water safety, and aquatic instruction
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with campers, staff, and parents
- Ability to demonstrate skills and stay active in the water for extended periods
- Experience working with children and managing groups of various ages
Benefits
- Compensation is $23.25 per hour
