Job Description
The Campus Police Officer reports to the Chief of Police of the Stevens Institute of Technology. The position is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of university properties, faculty, staff, students, guests, and visitors during their assigned tour of duty.
Requirements
- 21 years of age or older
- United States citizen
- Legal resident of the State of New Jersey
- Able to read, write, and speak English fluently and intelligently
- In sound physical and mental health sufficient to perform police officer duties
- Of good moral character, with no criminal convictions involving moral turpitude
- Capable of operating a law enforcement vehicle in various conditions
- Computer literate and able to operate software programs associated with campus police duties
