The Senior Communications Strategy Specialist leads communication, education and marketing initiatives through a structured process. This role partners with internal stakeholders to understand goals, audiences, and challenges; identifies communication needs, risks and opportunities; and develops strategies aligned with institutional priorities.
Requirements
- Develop and execute communication needs and plans for stakeholder teams and leadership
- Develop comprehensive communication strategies for major departmental and organizational initiatives
- Leverage a creative and compelling array of communications including presentations, email, newsletters, announcements, information sheets, application brochures, articles and videos
- Serve as a communication expert for the key stakeholder departments and other areas of the institution
- Work with external vendors to support projects and monitor progress
- Evaluate new media to produce innovative, effective internal campaigns
- Provide guidance, assistance, and mentoring support to less experienced colleagues
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance
