Role Overview

As a member of the MEMS design team, the MEMS designer contributes to all phases of product development for innovative MEMS accelerometers and gyroscopes. The ideal candidate has a background in mechanical engineering, physical engineering, or electronic engineering, demonstrates an interest in sensors and possesses a solid background in physics, mechanics, and electronics.

What You Will Do

Perform feasibility studies and select sensor architectures to meet specifications. Design sensor layouts and conduct simulations to predict sensor performance across manufacturing variability and real-world application scenarios. Measure sensor prototypes in a laboratory environment to verify alignment between simulations and actual sensor behavior.

Requirements

• Background in mechanical engineering, physical engineering, or electronic engineering
• Interest in sensors
• Solid background in physics, mechanics, and electronics
• Experience with finite element method (FEM) simulations and MATLAB
• Laboratory experience with instruments used for sensor validation
