Stoke is building a fully and rapidly reusable vehicle, Nova, to solve the core challenges of space transportation. We are seeking an Avionics Manufacturing Engineer to lead the procurement, assembly, and testing of avionics flight components and harnessing.
Requirements
- B.S. degree in engineering or equivalent on-the-job experience
- 2+ years' experience in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, autonomously driven, and demanding atmosphere
- Understanding of manufacturing processes, including SMT processing, electronics rework and repair, basic machining, coating, adhesive, and potting applications
- Experience in designing tooling and fixturing
- Experience in process development and research
- Ability to implement harness and PCBA manufacturing tools and techniques in low-volume production
- Demonstrated understanding of configuration management and change control
- Demonstrated ability to gather, analyze, and use data to drive systemic improvements
- Experience with basic failure analysis tools and methods (X-ray, cross-section, polishing)
- Familiarity with APQP and lean manufacturing processes (Green Belt or higher preferred)
- Knowledge of IPC/NASA manufacturing standards
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Rigorous attention to detail
