Registered Nurse - Per Diem Night - Intensive Care Unit

The Registered Nurse works under the direction of the Nurse Manager and functions as a Team Leader. He/she is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising all nursing activities related directly or indirectly to patient care for a group of patients within a specific clinical area.

Requirements

• Uses the nursing process to provide comprehensive patient care
• Collects data relevant to patient's condition and reports critical values to physician in a timely manner
• Assesses appropriate lab and diagnostic data
• Documents findings of physical assessment and is able to identify abnormal findings
• Develops plan of care based on patient need
• Advocates on behalf of the patient and their family
• Performs interventions according to patient need and hospital policy
• Evaluates patient outcomes in relation to goals
• Adheres to all safety guidelines and exercises the utmost care when interacting with patients
• Demonstrates a professional demeanor in interactions with patient, family, peers, and staff, and maintains open communication with nursing management
