Medical Assistant - Primary Care

The Medical Assistant will function under the direction of clinical leadership to provide delegated patient care interventions, data collection, and coordination of patient tests and services.

Requirements

• Successfully completed first semester in an accredited nursing program
• Experience in an office or clinic setting
• Knowledgeable of and follows proper technique for patient care
• Communicates pertinent patient information to appropriate staff in a timely manner
• Functions with an awareness and application of safety issues as identified within the institution
• Participates actively in educational activities for department
• Demonstrates competency in selected psychomotor skills
• Active certification to practice in Kansas as either Certified Clinical Medical Assistant, Certified Medical Assistant, Registered Medical Assistant, Certified Nursing Assistant, or Emergency Medical Technician
