Senior Platform Engineer

Storytel is looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to join their Platform Engineering team. The successful candidate will design, build and maintain toolchains and workflows, and work on machine learning platform capabilities on Google Cloud and Vertex AI. They will also coach and unblock developers in their daily work and lead initiatives to improve developer experience across the organization.

Requirements

• Platform engineering mindset
• Software engineer's perspective
• Significant hands-on experience with ML on Google Cloud, and specifically Vertex AI
• Strong Python skills
• Deep care for developer experience
• Strong long-term thinking on architecture
• Pragmatic ambition
• At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong experience with container technologies, Kubernetes, and distributed systems in production
• Strong experience with a major cloud provider – ideally Google Cloud Platform
• Experience working in DevEx-adjacent areas
• Ability to communicate fluently in English (written and spoken)
