Senior Trial Attorney

Strategic Legal Practices is seeking a Senior Trial Attorney to join their rapidly expanding team. The ideal candidate should have experience supervising a team of attorneys and be licensed (and in good standing) in California with two or more years of experience in directly managing civil litigation in both State and Federal courts.

Requirements

• Lead pre-trial preparation and trial strategy.
• Delegate and supervise assignments for junior attorneys and staff.
• Take and defend depositions of parties, experts, and witnesses.
• Argue substantive motions in court.
• Independently manage and litigate a full case docket.
• Prepare litigation reports and risk assessments for clients and leadership.
• Engage in discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.
• Examine and cross-examine witnesses at trial; respond to evidentiary objections.
• Attend and lead hearings, mediations, and other proceedings.
• Negotiate settlements leveraging deep case knowledge.
• Prepare, argue, and litigate a diverse roster of cases through trial.
• Provide strategic legal advice and complex case analysis.
