Job Description
We are seeking a highly qualified, state certified Middle School Social Studies Teacher to join our team at Digital Academy of Texas (DATX). The teacher will be responsible for delivering specific course content in an online environment, providing instruction, support, and guidance to students, and working closely with parents/learning coaches to advance each student's learning. The position is a full-time remote job, requiring ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Active state teaching license
- Ability to clear required background check
- Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers
- Receptive to receiving coaching
- Ability to adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Experience working with proposed age group
- Experience supporting adults and children in technology use
- Experience teaching in online or brick-and-mortar environments
- Experience with online learning platforms
