Job Description
Special Education Paraprofessional Teacher needed at Highpoint Virtual Academy of Michigan. Works closely with teachers and administrators to implement instruction and support for students' individualized needs. Full-time position with competitive pay rate of $18.00/hr.
Requirements
- Assist teachers in delivering instruction
- Work with assistive technology to teach regular education curriculum
- Co-teach and collaborate with special education teachers and general education teachers
- Prepare students for standardized tests
- Track student progress and motivate students
- Enter documentation and perform other record-keeping in appropriate systems
- Provide necessary reports
- Participate in meetings regarding special education students
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development
- Solve day-to-day problems presented by staff and students
- Collaborate with the Special Education team and school in developing an effective Special Education program
- Participate in Response to Intervention process
- Assist with pre- and post-school duties
- Communicate needs to the school leadership team regarding special education students
- Promote a positive school environment
