Job Description
Stripe is seeking Backend Engineers to join their Payments organization, focusing on developing APIs and platforms for payments processing, regional payment options, and in-person payments. The role involves building scalable systems for managing money globally while working collaboratively with cross-functional teams. The organization focuses on expanding Stripe’s capabilities to make payments convenient for businesses and customers.
Requirements
- 2-12+ years of industry software engineering experience (does not include internships nor includes co-ops)
- Strong coding skills in any programming language
- Strong collaboration skills
- Ability to thrive on autonomy and responsibility
- Interest in working with various technologies
- Experience with large-scale financial tracking systems (preferred)
- Good understanding and practical knowledge of cloud-based services (e.g. gRPC, GraphQL, Docker/Kubernetes, AWS)
