As a Level Designer, you will create gameplay spaces and activities within our open world for a third-person fantasy action game.
Requirements
- Design and build level layouts within the open world, from early blockout to gameplay-ready implementation.
- Create engaging activities that support exploration and combat, using gameplay mechanics to drive fun, challenge, and variety.
- Shape clear activity flow by applying established design guidelines, including metrics, objectives, scripting, and rewards.
- Ensure levels are readable and intuitive, guiding player movement and decision-making through layout, landmarks, and visual cues
- Iterate on levels with a high level of autonomy, using playtests, feedback, and evolving game systems to improve quality.
- Collaborate closely with game design, art, and engineering, contributing to discussions around gameplay intent, constraints, and solutions.
- Identify and proactively solve gameplay issues related to flow, pacing, difficulty, and clarity.
- Stay informed about level design trends and best practices, analyzing relevant games to gather insights and inspiration that improve your work.
