This is an entry-level position to learn the process of assembly and installation of pipes in units.
Requirements
- Must be able to read a tape measure to 1/8th inch.
- Must be able to follow verbal, written and pictorial instructions.
- Must be able to use hand tools.
- Cuts, threads, and bends pipe with a Hydraulic Pipe Bender
- Assembles and installs variety of metal and nonmetal pipes, tubes, and fittings; including iron, steel, copper and plastic.
- Ability to use acetylene and oxygen torch set.
- Train and work in multiple types of manufacturing positions (i.e. assembly, paint, wire and weld).
- Ability to read and understand English instructions.
- Ability to speak effectively to employees of organization.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
