Surgical Scheduler Coordinator

The Surgical Scheduler Coordinator position is responsible for the successful completion of the surgical scheduling process for patients requiring elective surgery at Sturdy memorial Hospital.

Requirements

• Three to five years previous experience in medical office.
• High school graduate or equivalent;
• Associates degree or equivalent preferred
• Command of verbal and written English;
• Positive interpersonal communication skills and good organizational skills.
• Understanding of referral and prior authorization process.
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with surgeons, the hospital surgical schedulers, and the PCP’s office staff
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients
