Job Description
Rougham CE Primary School is looking for a part-time Music Teacher to work on a self-employed basis from May or September 2026. The role involves delivering whole class music lessons, promoting music for all, and supporting extracurricular activities. The school offers a warm and supportive environment, a well-resourced music department, and ongoing commitment to music development.
Requirements
- Good understanding of the National Curriculum
- Ability to deliver whole class music lessons from Reception - Year 6
- Promotion of music for all and encouragement of a love of music
- Running a String Programme for small groups of pupils in Years 2 - 6
- Supporting the organising and delivery of concerts
- Liaising with the Trust who finance music at the school
- Offering extracurricular musical activities such as a choir and band
- Adaptability and ability to work as part of a team
- Good communication skills with staff, parents, and pupils
