Patrol Officer

Suffolk University is seeking a Patrol Officer to join the Police and Security Department. This role involves providing law enforcement and community support within the University community, maintaining order, responding to calls for assistance, enforcing rules, and ensuring the safety and security of students, faculty, staff, and guests. The officer will be part of a team dedicated to building a safe and secure campus environment.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must be a US Citizen or a Naturalized US Citizen
• Must possess a high school diploma or pass the GED training
• Must possess and demonstrate ethical behavior and accept responsibility for assigned duties
• Must be able to utilize judgment to make good decisions and engage in problem solving
• Must be able to work in dangerous and stressful situations
• Valid CPR and First Aid certifications are preferred
• Must have no prior felony record
• Must have a valid driver’s license or be able to obtain one before hire
