Shipping Clerk

Sumitomo is looking for a Shipping Clerk to join their growing team. The ideal candidate will prepare orders for freight, express or parcel post shipments, process shipments, and create associated paperwork. They will also assist in assembly and labeling of packages, provide basic support within production areas, and maintain accurate records.

Requirements

• Experience creating bill of lading and packing lists
• UPS Worldship experience preferred
• MS Excel skills preferred
• Ability to work in a team environment and train others
• Ability to work independently and self-motivating
• Ability to read & follow verbal & written instructions
• Ability to lift 50lbs repeatedly & stand for 100% of shift
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong basic math to calculate costs, verify quantities, and interpret documents
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment to meet team expectations
• Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing production needs
• Positive “Can do” attitude
• Knowledge of machine shop environment and operations preferred
