Bus Assistant

Summit School Services is seeking a Bus Assistant to assist the bus driver with the safe and reliable transportation of students. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety of students, maintaining a positive attitude, and adhering to company policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age (19 years of age for New York School Bus Assistants)
• Must meet physical and medical requirements
• Must satisfactorily complete and pass all training and attend safety meetings and in-service meetings
• Ability to relate to and work well with children
• Ability to maintain effective pupil behavior management
• High level of professionalism and diplomacy skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lift and assist students when necessary
