Bus Assistant

Summit School Services is committed to providing the highest level of transportation safety, quality transportation, and customer service. The Bus Assistant role assists the bus driver with student safety and management.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age (19 for New York School Bus Assistants)
• Meet physical and medical requirements
• Complete and pass all training and safety meetings
• Have a high degree of attention to detail and considerable dexterity
• Ability to relate to and work with children
• Maintain effective pupil behavior management
• High level of professionalism and diplomacy skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lift and assist students when necessary
