Bus Assistant

We are hiring a Bus Assistant to assist the bus driver with the movement, management, and care of students while being transported. The role requires assisting students with entering or exiting the bus, monitoring passengers for safety, and reporting any concerns or violations.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age (19 years old for New York School Bus Assistants)
• Must meet physical and medical requirements
• Must satisfactorily complete and pass all training
• Must have a high degree of attention to detail and considerable dexterity
• Ability to relate to and work well with children
• Ability to maintain effective pupil behavior management
• High level of professionalism and diplomacy skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lift and assist students when necessary
