Job Description
As a Fleet Technician I, you'll handle advanced diagnostics, inspections, and repairs on school bus fleet vehicles to ensure safe and on-time routes. You'll work across various systems, including preventive maintenance, DOT/state inspections, and drivetrain/transmission repairs, while modeling craftsmanship, safety, and uptime.
Requirements
- Diagnose and repair automotive and diesel systems
- Perform engine adjustments, rebuilds, and test drives
- Complete required safety inspections and repair sign-offs
- Keep a safe, organized, and compliant workspace
- Identify and report additional service needs or complex issues
- Accurately log labor hours, parts used, and completed work
- Notify leadership of unsafe conditions, equipment misuse, or vehicle abuse
- Respond to road calls and perform mobile repairs
- Model professionalism, teamwork, and integrity
