Lead Technician

Summit School Services is seeking a Lead Technician to oversee inspection readiness, guide technicians, and ensure the safety and uptime of school bus fleets. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to safety, quality, and customer service, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in medium or heavy truck fleet mechanic repair and 1 year of leadership experience.

Requirements

• Diagnose and repair automotive and diesel systems
• Perform engine adjustments, rebuilds, and test drives
• Complete safety inspections and repair sign-offs
• Keep a safe, organized, and compliant workspace
• Identify and report additional service needs or complex issues
• Accurately log labor hours, parts used, and completed work
• Notify leadership of unsafe conditions or equipment misuse
• Respond to road calls and perform mobile repairs
• Model professionalism, teamwork, and integrity
