Maintenance Technician I

As a Fleet Technician I, you will handle advanced diagnostics, inspections, and repairs on school bus fleet vehicles to ensure safe and on-time routes. You will work across various yellow-bus systems, model craftsmanship, safety, and uptime, and work with the Lead Technician or Maintenance Supervisor to identify and complete repairs.

Requirements

• Diagnose and repair automotive and diesel systems
• Perform engine adjustments, rebuilds, and test drives
• Complete required safety inspections and repair sign-offs
• Keep a safe, organized, and compliant workspace
• Identify and report additional service needs or complex issues
• Accurately log labor hours, parts used, and completed work
• Notify leadership of unsafe conditions, equipment misuse, or vehicle abuse
• Respond to road calls and perform mobile repairs
• Model professionalism, teamwork, and integrity in every task
