Engineering Manager

We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead a new team focused on building the analytical and commercial foundations for SumUp's global sales channels. The role involves overseeing the consolidation of attribution and commission models into a unified, scalable product, ensuring a single, accurate foundation for both commercial insights and incentive operations.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience designing, implementing, and scaling web applications and APIs, preferably using Go.
• Proven experience in people leadership and managing cross-functional teams of multidisciplinary engineers.
• Understanding of data engineering and analytical engineering principles.
• Hands-on experience with data engineering lifecycle, key architectural components and system design.
• Deep-dive, metrics-driven approach to problem-solving and ability to navigate complex legacy logic.
• Ability to balance technical excellence with the pragmatic needs of a growing business.
