Job Description
The Certified Peer Support Specialist provides support services to individuals with severe mental illness and may be dually diagnosed. The Certified Peer Support Specialist works under the direction of the ACTT Team Lead and provides highly individualized services in the community, promoting recovery and self-determination for members served ACTT.
Requirements
- Certified as a Peer Support Specialist in North Carolina
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Driver's License and insurance
- Ability to express ideas clearly and concisely
- Considerable knowledge of recovery services and an array of intervention techniques
- Ability to be available for crisis situations
