Chemist II

Chemist II position at Sun Chemical in Peekskill, NY. Responsible for hands-on lab work, developing new ideas and processes, and collaborating with teams to achieve technical targets.

Requirements

• Bachelor's/master’s degree in chemistry, chemical engineering or material science.
• Hands-on experience in the synthesis of advanced functional materials (e.g. nanoparticles, structured composites) and thorough experimental knowledge of fine particles, surface and inorganic materials chemistry.
• 3-5 years’ experience working in a plant and laboratory environment.
• Prior experience in a new product development, process development, scale-up or chemical engineering role is preferred.
• Knowledge of CAPA, 8D, lean manufacturing, six sigma, DMAIC and FMEA preferred.
