Maintenance Technicians perform routine and preventative maintenance to maintain the physical integrity of Sun's communities. They conduct home/building maintenance repairs and are responsible for cleanliness and upkeep of property grounds, facilities, streets, equipment, and various utility systems.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 6 months in previous maintenance experience in the apartment or manufactured housing industry (Preferred)
- 6 months in snow removal experience, including operating a plow truck (if applicable) (Preferred)
- Ability to endure fluctuations in temperatures as working conditions require constant outdoor work
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Ability to work well independently as well as on a team
- Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs
- Basic computer proficiency, including the ability to use email and the internet
- Ability to work an on-call schedule
- Proficient skills in operating various hand tools, power equipment, and commercial machinery
- Ability to provide legible written reports
- General knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and grounds maintenance
