Maintenance Technician

Maintenance Technicians perform routine and preventative maintenance to maintain the physical integrity of Sun’s communities, providing excellent customer service to prospective and current residents.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 6 months in previous maintenance experience in the apartment or manufactured housing industry
• 6 months in snow removal experience, including operating a plow truck (if applicable)
• 6 months in demonstrated knowledge of and broad experience in general maintenance techniques and repair work
• Ability to endure fluctuations in temperatures
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Ability to work well independently as well as on a team
• Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs
• Basic computer proficiency, including the ability to use email and the internet
• Ability to work an on-call schedule
• Proficient skills in operating various hand tools, power equipment, and commercial machinery
• Ability to provide legible written reports
• General knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and grounds maintenance
