Job Description
The WIC Qualified Nutritionist is responsible for providing WIC Registration Nutrition Assessment and counseling staff of the WIC program at the assigned site(s), providing nutrition education for individuals and groups, and performing job duties in compliance with systems and job specific standards.
Requirements
- Utilizes a participant centered approach
- Completes all mandated and non-mandated questions, assigning appropriate risks
- Provides positive input into the development of program policies and procedures
- Documentation in NYWIC is clear and concise regarding special formulas and exceptional cases
- Promotes breastfeeding as the normal method of infant feeding
- Responsible for off sites and reports
