We're seeking a Field Service Diesel Technician to join our team in North Alabama or West Tennessee areas. As a field technician, you'll work on repairing emergency response vehicles, including aerial lifts and telescopic ladder systems, high output pumps and flow systems, and more.
Requirements
- Perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs on fire apparatus and related equipment.
- Conduct diagnostic tests and troubleshooting to identify and resolve mechanical and electrical issues.
- Repair or replace defective components, such as pumps, hoses, valves, and electrical systems.
- Install and upgrade equipment, including radios, sirens, and lighting systems.
- Test and calibrate fire apparatus systems to ensure they meet safety and performance standards.
- Conduct preventive maintenance tasks, including lubrication, fluid changes, and filter replacements.
- Keep accurate records of work performed, parts used, and equipment serviced.
- Stay up to date with advancements in fire apparatus technology and industry standards.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines during all repair and maintenance activities.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including tools, equipment, and service vehicles.
- Maintain inventory of spare parts, tools, and equipment necessary for repairs and maintenance.
- Communicate effectively with customers and fire department personnel regarding repair status and recommendations.
