Perform therapeutic apheresis procedures, including TPE, RBCX, white blood cell and platelet depletion, and continuous mononuclear cell collections. Assess patients, monitor vital signs, and manage adverse reactions. Educate patients and families on apheresis procedures and safety considerations.
Requirements
- Independent performance of therapeutic apheresis procedures
- Patient assessment and monitoring
- Documentation using electronic medical records
- Compliance with FDA, AABB, ASFA, HIPAA, and hospital policies
- Participation in quality assurance and quality improvement activities
- Scheduled on-call rotation
- Collaboration with management and clinical leadership
- Training and onboarding of new departmental staff
- Equipment maintenance, inventory oversight, and supply management
