Activities Aide

The Activities Aide plans and implements programs on all units throughout the facility daily to promote the emotional, spiritual, and/or social behavior of each resident. The ideal candidate is creative, flexible, and able to work with a variety of personalities and provide a variety of activities simultaneously.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• One to three months of related experience and/or training
• Ability to work flexible hours and variable shifts, every other weekend and any other expectations based on resident needs
• Some knowledge of modern methods and practices of activity therapy as applied to residents in a skilled care institution
• Some knowledge of activity therapy materials and equipment
• Some knowledge of Sunny Ridge Health and Rehabilitation Center routines and procedures
