We are looking for a Head of Category Management to join our Merchandising Team. This individual will report into our Vice President of Merchandising and will lead a team of Senior Category Managers, Category Managers, and Associates. This individual will provide strategic leadership for the Category Management function, overseeing category strategy, financial performance, vendor partnerships, and team development.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Merchandising, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in Merchandising and product development
- Strong analytical and problemāsolving skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed recommendations
- Advanced experience in Microsoft Excel and retail systems
- Experience leading remote team members
- Demonstrated success leading teams and driving strategic, financial, and operational outcomes
- Strong executive presence, communication skills, and strategic thinking
- Strong communication, collaboration, and project management skills
- Critical and creative thinking skills in dealing with an everchanging environment
- Statistical analysis and data manipulation skills
- Proven ability to prioritize and meet deadlines while remaining flexible in a high growth environment
- Proven ability to lead strategy, influence stakeholders, and drive financial results
- Ability to work well both independently and in a team setting
