The Mental Health Professional is responsible for providing individual and group therapy and developing resident services / treatment plans.

Requirements

Conducts the initial Comprehensive Intake Assessment with residents.
Develops Service / Treatment Plans for residents outlining specific program goals and objectives.
Provides resource information and referrals to assist residents in developing community support systems.
Conducts individual and group therapy sessions as assigned.
Creates individualized crisis plans for residents.
Provides crisis intervention to residents as needed during crisis periods.
Monitors residents to ensure their safety within the facility.
Observes and document behavioral changes in residents.
Acts as a liaison with medical professionals and behavioral health professionals providing services to residents.
Responsible for accurate and timely charting in ECP using accepted abbreviations and terminology.
Leads and participates in staff meetings and in-services training.
Consults with management staff, nursing staff or peers when knowledge base in a given area needs to be expanded.
Requests literature, in-service or orientation on a given topic.
Demonstrates accountability regarding equipment and supplies.
