Certified Sterile Processing Technician

The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for the care and preparation of surgical instruments and supplies. Maintains established inventory levels, orders supplies, and performs testing of sterilizers.

Requirements

• Knowledge of standard precautions, aseptic technique, and principles of sterilization and instrument handling
• Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports, and speak effectively
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions and deal with problems involving several concrete variables
