The Senior IT Systems Support Specialist oversees facility IT systems, infrastructure, and daily functions, including system implementation, upgrades, vendor coordination, and end-user support.
Requirements
- Lead IT application implementations and support
- Develop specifications for planning, design, validation, testing, and implementation
- Document workflows and conduct end-user training
- Facilitate policy and procedure changes to support implementations
- Manage system and technology upgrades, installations, and maintenance
- Assess system functionality and develop solutions
- Oversee daily IT operations, workflow, and delegation
- Monitor the helpdesk ticketing system
- Serve as liaison with the corporate partner and third-party vendors.
- Coordinate server patching and workstation/server configurations
- Collaborate on networking, VPN, security cameras, wireless infrastructure, and PACS connectivity
- Ensure compliance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act and accreditation requirements
- Identify security risks and mitigation strategies
- Coordinate backup and recovery procedures
- Manage IT closets, switches, cabling, and port activation
- Work cross functionally with other departments and organizations to maintain high level of on-premises security
- Maintain inventory of devices for temporary deployments
- Manage Active Directory and access requests
- Monitor workstation, scanner, and printer inventories
- Support phone, paging, intranet, mobile device management, and specialty systems
- Recommend IT related purchasing decisions
- Coordinate ordering and deployment of software and hardware
- Track technology assets and licenses
- Work with physicians to ensure systems meet operational and regulatory needs
- Coordinate with departments to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Serve on committees as assigned
- Use the organization's secure messaging platform in accordance with departmental protocols, including timely receipt and responses to communications
