Senior Underwriter

Susser Bank is seeking a seasoned Senior Underwriter with deep expertise in Commercial & Industrial (C&I) and Commercial Real Estate (CRE) lending. This is a high-impact role on a collaborative credit team that independently underwrites complex middle-market credits across Texas.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
• 7–10+ years of progressive commercial banking underwriting experience with significant exposure to both C&I and CRE (owner-occupied and investor) credits
• Strong Texas market knowledge across multiple industries and property types (multifamily, retail, office, industrial, medical office, self-storage, hospitality, etc.)
• Advanced financial spreading and cash-flow modeling skills
• Formal credit training strongly preferred (RMA Commercial Lending School, Omega, Stonier, or bank equivalent)
• Excellent written and presentation skills with a track record of writing concise, persuasive credit narratives
