SENIOR SCIENTIST, STRAIN ENGINEERING

Sutro Biopharma is looking for a Senior Scientist to join the Protein Biochemistry group and drive the research activities of the strain engineering program. The candidate will design and execute experiments on protein expression, downstream processing, and analysis, and will be responsible for interfacing with external collaborators and senior management.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Biochemistry or a related discipline
• At least 5 years of experience in a related field
• Hands-on experience working with small-scale bioreactors
• Experience optimizing and evaluating prokaryotic protein expression strains
• Familiarity with molecular biology techniques and common protein analytical techniques
• Proficiency with statistical analysis software and sequence analysis software
