Cloud DevOps Platform Engineer for IT Clouds responsible for creating and operating Swisscom's IaaS services. Collaborate with architects to shape reliable, secure, and scalable environments for enterprise customers.
Requirements
- Excellent Linux/systems engineering experience in near-production environments.
- Deep, hands-on expertise in KVM, QEMU, libvirt, and OVN/Open vSwitch.
- Understanding of IP networks, Layer 2/Layer 3, overlay networks, routing, NAT, ACLs/Security Groups, load balancing, and tenant separation.
- Experience in building or operating private cloud/IaaS/virtualization platforms with a focus on high availability, scalability, and resilience.
- Excellent knowledge of automation/IaC with tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Python, and Bash.
- Experience with Git, GitLab/GitHub, CI/CD, and standardized release and deployment processes.
- Solid observability expertise with tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/OpenSearch, as well as structured error analysis and RCA.
- Experience with security hardening, secrets, certificates, RBAC/IAM, and operational security requirements.
- Independent, resilient individual with a strong ownership mindset.
- Fluent in written and spoken English. German language skills are an advantage.
