About the Company
Swisspeace is a practice-oriented peace research institute that analyzes conflict causes and develops peaceful transformation strategies. Focused on improving conflict prevention and resolution, Swisspeace conducts innovative research, shapes international peace policy discourses, and provides training and support to other peace actors. As an associated Institute of the University of Basel and member of the Swiss Academy of Humanities and Social Sciences, Swisspeace collaborates with key partners including the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs and various NGOs.
Job Description
To support the Continuing Education team, we are looking for two interns to work on organizing and implementing courses, course administration, advertising activities, and managing communication with participants and faculty.
Requirements
- BA (higher degrees will not be accepted) in international relations, political sciences, social sciences, peace studies or similar disciplines
- Strong communication skills
- Strong organizational skills, reliable and paying attention to detail
- Self-initiative, ability to work independently and as part of a team, ability to work under pressure
- Excellent IT skills (MS Office, particularly Excel and Word)
- Proficiency in English (C1); good command of German or French
